Sister Emmanuelle fought for underprivileged children. She never backed down from anything and today, she is recognized for having helped the most disadvantaged. This woman inspires me because she never backed down and did everything to help others.
The experience as a Miss Belgium finalist marked me. It was a unique experience where I was able to learn a lot about myself, to grow as a mature woman and to become even more confident. It allowed me to review my perspectives on life and to realize that life is short, that it should be lived intensely, that I must do what makes me happy, and try as much as possible to inspire other young women.
My happiness is spending precious and quality time with my loved ones, dancing, singing (even if I am not a great singer), reading a book while tanning in the sun, being abroad and discovering new things, and doing photoshoots.
A sentence I will never forget is one my mother often repeats to me:“We are never too beautiful.”I take this sentence to heart because first of all, I love wearing beautiful clothes in which I feel beautiful and myself. Moreover, this sentence has a double meaning for me: it also means that the way we feel is very important, and that to feel good with ourselves and with others in society, we must have self-confidence. I think confidence comes from feeling good and wearing clothes that highlight our assets. Clothes can also say a lot about one’s personality. I feel happy and impatient at the idea of representing my beautiful nation at Miss Europe Continental. First of all, to proudly and honorably wear the colors of my country, to make it known to the world. We have a rich culture, and everyone should have the opportunity to learn a little more about our country and what we have to offer. Moreover, it is an honor for me that the competition chose me to represent Belgium, I am proud and very grateful for this opportunity. I look forward to meeting the other girls, to sharing moments by their side. The competition will take place in Naples, where I spent holidays with my partner and fell in love with the city, so I am really excited to go back. I also look forward to photoshoots, fashion shows, and therefore gaining even more experience and opportunities in this field.
Fashion is quite important to me, I think it is a way for each person to be themselves and to show the world a part of their personality. I love dressing up, feeling beautiful, and trying new outfits. When people tell me that my outfit looks good on me, it really makes me happy. Fashion also allows us to inspire others, and then each person can adapt and personalize a look in their own way.
In 10 years, I will be 30 years old. I see myself married, mother of 1 or 2 children. I see myself graduated from my marketing studies and having had many enriching experiences in the world of stage, dance, photography, social events, and collaborations with big brands. I see myself with my family but also still with one foot in those worlds that I am passionate about. I would also like to have inspired young women and given them the possibility to believe in their dreams, to know that everything is possible, and that even if they come from a small place with few opportunities, that does not define the life they will have later.
If I could make a dream come true, it would be to always be happy and always know how to maintain the balance between my relationships with my loved ones and my personal projects. For example, winning the Miss Europe Continental competition while being present for the people I love. And of course, investing myself 1000% in the opportunities that come my way.’’
