Hello everyone, my name is Shelly, I am 25 years old, and I live in Denmark. I will represent Scandinavia.

– Can you tell us something about your childhood and the environment you grew up in? What values still guide you today?

I grew up living with my mother. I have an older sister who is 20 years older than me, and she has had a slightly different sister role than one would normally expect. I also have a father whom I only saw occasionally during my childhood, but with whom I have developed a closer relationship in my adult years.

Some of the values that still guide me today are kindness, respect, and equality. I believe in treating others the way I would like to be treated, staying true to myself, and working hard to achieve my goals while uplifting those around me.

– What is your everyday life like away from the spotlight? What kind of balance do you try to maintain between your personal and professional life?

In my daily life, I live like everyone else: I go to work, spend time with friends, and come home to my two dogs and my boyfriend, who I live with. I don’t find it difficult to separate my professional and personal life, as I’m not famous, which makes it easy for me to have a normal everyday life

– How would you describe your most authentic self, beyond your image as a model? 

Beyond my image as a model, I am caring, down-to-earth, and curious about the world. I value honesty and kindness, enjoy helping others, and often put my loved ones’ needs before my own. I appreciate simple everyday moments with my family, friends, and my dogs, and I always try to stay true to myself.

– You also work as a social educator, a role that’s quite different from modeling. What led you to choose this profession?

I love helping others, and having faced challenges in my own childhood, I was fortunate to have amazing caregivers who supported me. Their guidance made a huge difference in my life and helped me grow into the person I am today. I want to share that same support and encouragement with others who need it, helping them move forward and thrive in their own lives.

– When did you realize you also wanted to work as a model? Was it a long-time dream or a more recent discovery?

I have dreamed of becoming a model since I was 16 years old.

– What does it mean to you to represent Scandinavia at an international competition like Miss Europe Continental?

Representing Scandinavia at Miss Europe Continental is a true honor. It allows me to share my culture and values with the world and inspire others to follow their dreams and stay true to themselves.

– How are you preparing, mentally, emotionally, and physically, for this experience? 

I go to the gym to train and prepare my body for the competition. I have also watched some of the previous shows on YouTube to get an idea of how they are organized and to prepare myself for what to expect.

– What do you hope to gain from this participation, both personally and professionally?

On a personal level, I hope to push my limits and show myself that I am capable and good enough. I want to step a little out of my comfort zone. Professionally, I hope this experience will help me follow my dream of becoming a professional model one day.

– Is there a message or theme you would like to bring to the stage and share with the audience? 

Stay true to yourself, and remember that no matter how you look or what kind of person you are, you are good enough just as you are. It’s also important not to worry about what others think of you, as long as you are happy

– Where do you see yourself in five years? Do you dream of continuing in fashion, in education, or finding a way to bring those two worlds together?

I hope to make a living in the fashion industry one day, but I also see myself combining both worlds, as I still want to help others wherever I can.
