‘’Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right’’ – let’s meet Madara

‘’My name is Madara and I represent Latvia.

I currently work in sales and in coaching, I coach badminton to kids. My free time with my beautiful daughter, friends and family, and traveling. I love going anywhere where there is water. My best quality would be my compassion and humor too, my flaw is that I can be lazy.

I am inspired by Steven Bartlett, Danny and Jen Morel, Teal Swan, Codie Sanchez, Simon Sinek. But I also am inspired by some of my closest friends and people in my country.

-Is there in particular an event or something in your life that has marked you?

There are a couple. First was when I left my country at 19 and went to study and live abroad in Denmark. It broke down a lot of views I had built before, reshaped me as a person and gave me an understanding that my life was in my hands, and it is up to me to choose the person I want to become, regardless of who I thought I was before.

The second one, was when my daughter was born, I felt reborn as well, and I understood even more, how I truly want to show up as a mother, and what I want to change in my life to be true to my values, no matter what others think.

The third one, was the hardest one, to raise my daughter on my own, to be able to give her and myself the kind of life built with love and values I honoured. I am still figuring this one out, but I have also gone through tremendous growth within myself because of it, and believe it, it was the right one.

-What is happiness for you?

Happiness for me, is having family around, being able to do what I love, having close friends that understand me half sentence, feeling fullfilled.

-What is the phrase or quote you will never forget? Why?

‘’Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right’’ – Henry Ford

I have always had it back of my mind, even though sometimes it is hard to believe it, I know in my heart it’s true, and I remind myself when things get tough.

-How do you feel about being here at Miss Europe Continental?

A little unreal. I believe it’s like every little girl’s dream, and mine came true. For me, it is not so much about winning, but about being there and living it. It is a great pleasure.

-What does fashion represent for you?

It represents beauty, glamour, excellence.

I see myself with a beautiful family and friends and running my own business that helps others to reach their highest potential.

If you could make one wish come true, what would it be?

I wish we all loved more and were scared less, and I wish to always have an amazing body.’’
