‘’Hello everyone, I am Chiyuki Sakurai representing Japan. I was born and raised in Yokohama.
I believe that beauty is not only one shape or standard – It is about being yourself.
Even flaws can shine with uniqueness, just like Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. With this sprit, and the courage to be myself, I will proudly share Japan’s culture and soul with the world.
I work as an office worker but I would like to become an influencer.
I like to dance in my free time. My best quality is that I have the courage to be myself. My biggest flaw is that I am not perfect, but even imperfections can shine as uniqueness.
Who inspired you in your life/career
Everyone I’ve met so far.
Each person has a different life and story to tell. I like to meet new people and hear about the adventures throughout their lives.
Is there in particular an event or something in your life that has marked you.
When I was 17, and I travelled to Argentina. It had a huge impact on my life and I will never forget that time.
It was the first time that I started to feel confident in myself and to try new things. It also made me realise that even my flaws can shine brightly as part of my individuality.
What is happiness for you.
My happiness is to be myself and to make people smile.
A sunny day at the beach, dancing to music always puts a huge smile on my face.
What is the phrase or quote you will never forget? Why?
“Everyone’s different, everyone’s special”
This phrase makes me feel confident.
There is only one of each of us, so we are all equally special.
If we accept the way we are, that is when we can be the most beautiful and unique.
How do you feel about being here at Miss Europe Continental?
I truly appreciate the precious oppurtunity that has been given to me. I’m so excited to work towards this new challenge in my life, and can’t wait to apply these lessons to my future.
What does fashion represent for you?
Fashion to me is a way to express myself and a way to boost my confidence even more.
How do you see yourself in ten years?
I will hope to be in a position that allows me to continue meeting new people who inspire me to elevate myself to new levels.
I will continue to challenge new things and I hope that I can inspire others to do the same.
