1. You are on the official team of Fashion Designers of Miss Europe Continental Edition 12. How does it feel to be part of such a dynamic and established international team?
It’s an incredible honour to be part of such a prestigious international platform that celebrates beauty, creativity, and individuality. As a designer, I’ve always believed that fashion is about storytelling — and to be part of Miss Europe Continental allows me to share that story on a global stage. Working alongside such talented professionals who all bring their own energy and vision feels both inspiring and empowering. It’s a space that values creativity and transformation, which aligns beautifully with my own ethos as a designer.
2. Tell us about your Creativity and Passion
a. What do you draw the most inspiration for your creations from?
My inspiration comes from history, art, and emotion — particularly Scotland’s rich cultural heritage. I’m fascinated by the beauty of traditional Scottish garments and historical silhouettes, from structured bodices to flowing drapes that tell stories of identity and craftsmanship. I love to reinterpret these elements for the modern world, creating pieces that feel timeless yet forward-thinking. Every garment I design tells a story: a fusion of past and present, strength and softness, structure and freedom. I also love to experiment and push the boundaries of what fashion can be — blending unconventional materials, textures, and forms to create something unexpected and truly my own.
b. How would you describe the woman you draw for?
The Carina Rose woman is bold, elegant, and unapologetically herself. She’s not afraid to take up space or express her individuality through fashion. She appreciates the detail — the ruffle, the corset line, the handmade embellishment — because she knows that true luxury lies in craftsmanship and authenticity. She is both strong and romantic, with a deep connection to history and a modern sense of empowerment.
3. Tell us about your future plans.
Looking ahead, I want to continue developing my brand, Carina Rose Designs, as a space for storytelling through clothing — blending historical references with avant-garde shapes and couture-level detailing. My next goal is to expand internationally, collaborate with other creatives, and explore innovative, sustainable ways of working without compromising on artistry. I also hope to mentor young designers and show them that there’s beauty in perseverance, even in an industry that can be difficult to break into.
4. What advice would you give to an aspiring fashion designer who dreams of pursuing this career?
Be fearless and stay authentic to your vision. The fashion world can be challenging, but your individuality is your greatest strength. Don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s — every designer’s path is different. Learn your craft, be curious, and never stop experimenting. Most importantly, remember that passion and persistence will carry you further than perfection ever could.
5. What do you expect from this experience at Miss Europe Continental?
I hope to gain meaningful connections, share my work with a global audience, and be part of something that celebrates creativity in all its forms. For me, this isn’t just about showcasing dresses — it’s about showing the artistry, emotion, and craftsmanship behind them. I want my pieces to empower the women wearing them and inspire others to see fashion as a form of self-expression and storytelling.
